Drone Wars Privacy Policy

Coinopolis · Last updated October 20, 2026

This policy explains what information Drone Wars ("the game"), made by Coinopolis ("we", "us"), collects, why, and what you can do about it. Drone Wars is available on PC (Windows, macOS and Linux) and Meta Quest.

In short: we don't ask for your name, email or location, we don't show ads, and we don't sell anything about you. Your progress is saved on your own device. To play online, the game uses Unity's multiplayer services, which need a random anonymous ID and your network connection.

What the game stores on your device

Your settings and progress are saved only on your device: your callsign (a random pilot name you can reroll), your drone choices, rank and experience, awards, campaign progress and options like volume and controls. We don't receive this data. Uninstalling the game or clearing its data deletes it.

Online play

When you host or join an online match, the game uses Unity Gaming Services, provided by Unity Technologies:

ServiceWhat it handles
Unity AuthenticationSigns you in anonymously with a random player ID. It isn't tied to your name or email.
Unity RelayPasses game traffic between players, so nobody's address is shared with other players. Your IP address is processed to make the connection.
Unity LobbyIf you make a match public, lists it so others can find it: the host's callsign, the mode, the map and how many players are in. The listing is removed when the match closes.

While you play online, other players in your match see your callsign, title, drone, emblem and in-match stats. Unity processes this data under its own privacy policy: unity.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Some online matches are run by our own game server instead of a player's device. It joins through Unity Relay like any player, so it doesn't see your IP address. It runs the match from the same information as above and keeps no record of who played once the match ends.

Playing on your own (solo, against bots, or on your local network) doesn't use these services.

Platform stores

If you get the game through Steam or the Meta Horizon Store, those platforms handle your account, purchases and ownership checks under their own privacy policies (Valve, Meta). The game may check with the platform that you own it and any add-ons you've bought. We don't receive your payment details.

Diagnostics

The Unity engine may send basic, anonymous technical information (such as device model, operating system and graphics hardware) to Unity to help improve its engine. It doesn't identify you personally.

What we don't do

Children

Drone Wars isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. The game doesn't ask for any personal details. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Your choices

Depending on where you live (for example in the EU, UK or California), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information. Since we hold none ourselves, requests about online play data are passed to Unity; contact us and we'll help.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
